Gilly Hicks Haul

A couple of weeks ago I wanted to shop, shop real bad. It didn't help that I was watching Brittney's video about her Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Gilly Hicks collection. But wait! I had never heard of Gilly Hicks before! See, I live in a small town in central Wisconsin; any malls are at least an hour away. Sucks, right? Not really, since I'd rather shop online. And that's exactly what I did.

Of course I went straight to the clearance page of the Gilly Hicks website. I realized it's basically what aerie is to American Eagle. I settled into my shopping high and began clicking 'Add to Bag'. The totally awesome part? Not one item was over $10! Actually, most were under $5! I snagged two tank tops, a beautiful dress, two t-shirts, four pairs of panties, and two body washes for only $36! Unfortunately, shipping was $10, so I totaled about $49 with tax included.

I was so excited this morning when I tried everything on (minus the panties!) and found that they all fit perfectly! The dress is probably my favorite and it surprisingly fit like a glove! I had to get it in a large since my usual medium wasn't in stock. But the large fits wonderfully and I'm not ashamed of it!

My skin tone looks wonderful in this dress and I've overall very happy with my purchases! I especially love the cut of the dress. I dislike dresses (or shirts) that have a hem below the breasts and then flare out a bit - I don't think it compliments any body type. I really love that this dress has a flat area between the breasts and waist. It compliments my body beautifully and I can't wait for the next warm day to wear it! (Which sadly might not be 'til Spring!)

The two body washes I purchased are travel size and were only 0.89¢. The yellow one is called 'Calla Bluff' and smells like the ocean mixed with fruit! On the Gilly Hicks website, they call it 'Hawaiian Pineapple' and I completely agree! It has the citrus kick of pineapple along with a clean, oceany smell. The red one is 'Sweet Astor' also known as 'Rhubarb Vanilla'! It smells almost spicy (and I don't mean hot!) because the vanilla is masked by the rhubarb. Personally, I love it! It's definitely something I'll wear this winter; anything with vanilla works well with me. ;)

I love everything I bought so a huge 'THANK YOU!' to the beautiful Brittney for cluing me into Gilly Hicks!

(Told ya I bought two t-shirts... was just wearing one while I worked on this! And you can see my cute Victoria's Secret polar bear pajama bottoms! Haha!)
